In accordance with the published notice in The Gazette (Notice 4999386), an Order is proposed for the re-organisation of drainage boards under the Land Drainage Act 1991. The key elements are as follows:
The existing internal drainage boards of Alconbury and Ellington Internal Drainage Board, Bedfordshire and River Ivel Internal Drainage Board and Buckingham and River Ouzel Internal Drainage Board are proposed to be amalgamated into a single drainage district.
The above-named boards are proposed to be abolished and replaced by a new board, to be named the Upper Ouse Water Management Board.
The scheme includes supplementary and consequential provisions necessary to implement the changes.
A draft Order including the Scheme will be available for inspection, and interested parties are invited to submit written objections to the responsible department (see full details in the associated notice).
