CEO Announcement: Marcus Coleman

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Marcus Coleman as the next Chief Executive of the Water Management Alliance and its Member Boards for which the Bedford Group fall under. Marcus comes with great experience as a CEO, as a Civil Engineer and Accounting Officer. He is currently the ‘CEO/Accounting Officer’ of the Sea Fish Industry Authority (one of the Defra family) and has been in this role since 2016. Prior to that he was the Managing Director of Compass Point Business Services for 3 years (a joint venture company delivering shared services to local authorities) and before then he was the Deputy CEO of Lincolnshire County Council for 4 years. Marcus will start with us in his new role as CEO on 5 January 2026, succeeding our current Chief Executive, Phil Camamile. We look forward to welcoming Marcus and to working with him to continue delivering effective water level and flood risk management for our Member Boards.
